Enforcement

Enforcement Section, CDA takes action against the unauthorized development and constructions undertaken within the master plan area of Cuttack under the provision of ODA Act 1982. The demolition orders passed under the provision of ODA Act 1982 are executed by the Enforcement Section. Enforcement Section also participate in Joint eviction/demolition programmes conducted by C.M.C. Cuttack decided by the Chairman and Collector & District Magistrate, Cuttack in CJC 6721/99 meeting held every month.

Apart from this, the Enforcement Section of CDA also takes action against the defaulted allottees of CDA premises on the basis of the requisitions submitted by the allotment section. In each month demolition/eviction programme is prepared by the Commissioner, CMC, Where the Enforcement Officer, CDA is the team leader.

The function of Enforcement officer is being carried out as per the orders of Honorable High Court, Commissioner-cum-Secretary - Cum-Secretary, Urban Dept., Secretary, CDA and Law Officer, CDA. Apart from this, the Enforcement Officer is working as the team leader of the city eviction squad constituted by the Collector and District Magistrate, Cuttack as per kind orders of the Honorable High Courts. The work of city eviction squad to evict the encroachments growing up day by day and creating tragic hazards to general publicly. The Enforcement Section has demolished 96 numbers of unauthorized construction till March-2008 and proposed to take up 10 numbers of unauthorized construction cases for demolition up to March-2009.
